UR Viewer Desktop

Make UR Viewer part of Windows.

Desktop is the everyday installed version of UR Viewer. It packages Viewer resources locally and opens them in your regular browser, while adding a familiar Windows file-opening workflow.

Why Desktop?

Open frequent files without navigating to the website or launching a portable package first.

Desktop is for regular use. Installation can connect supported file types to UR Viewer, place access in the Start Menu, show UR file-type icons in File Explorer, and support double-click opening where those integrations are included in the current release.

The browser remains the rendering viewport.

The everyday workflow

From File Explorer to the Viewer.

Install UR Viewer Desktop into Windows.

  2. Choose associations

Associate supported file types with UR Viewer where desired and available.

  3. Double-click a file

Open a supported local file from File Explorer.

  4. Your browser opens

Desktop launches the locally packaged Viewer in your regular browser.

  5. The file opens

The supported file is handed to the Viewer.

  6. Work normally

Read, sign, present, inspect, or extract with the appropriate controls.

Integrated with Windows for everyday use. UR Viewer Desktop lets you open supported files directly from File Explorer while keeping the familiar UR Viewer experience in your browser.

Portable or Desktop?

Mobility without installation or an everyday Windows workflow.

Portable stays self-contained and avoids system integration. Desktop is installed so frequent users can make UR Viewer part of normal Windows file opening.
